Our Assets

Viveros Levante has more than 100 Hectares of land for production. Approximately 50 hectares is for producing palms, yucca and shrubs, more than 40,000 m2 of greenhouses and shadeshelters, and the rest is used for container growing.

With an annual production of more than two million plants, including palms, yucca, trees, shrubs, climbing plants and specimen plants.

It also has warehouses, loading docks and staff which can load and prepare 12 trucks at a time.

Our Production

Viveros Levante does more than grow and produce plants. It's also got a R&D department for researching new plants. Aware that the market is changing, our R&D department is geared towards research and insertion of new species and formats of plants in the growing export market, where it's making major investments to position itself.

Viveros Levante has qualities that set it apart from the rest, such as its orientation and its programming, which is always the outcome of research into growing markets, and giving its workers ongoing training for specific qualifications and to improve their knowledge of the industry.

With several generations of experience guiding us, our goal is to produce and commercialize authentically Mediterranean plants with the quality and presentation that's currently in demand in the domestic and foreign markets.

Ongoing Research

At VIVEROS LEVANTE we are well aware of the difficulties associated with water shortages and coastal gardening and we also do research into new plants.
We are currently doing research on recovering and finding ornamental plants that are salt tolerant, drought resistant and can survive the hostile environments and the abrasive affects of the coast. At IBERFLORA 2007 we presented a drought resistant shrub from the Arizona desert called Leucophyllum Frutescens.
Right now we're working on recovering and purifying a highly ornamental shrub called Limoniastrum Monopetalum that can grow without problems on marine dunes and directly on the sea shore.

VIVEROS LEVANTE'S PRODUCTION

VIVEROS LEVANTE has cultivated all kinds of ornamental Mediterranean plants on its production grounds, from shrubs and flowers, climbing plants to aromatic and coniferous plants, and of course, numerous varieties of palms and yuccas.

We produce these kinds of plants because of the high demand in the domestic market and the growing interest in Mediterranean plants in central and northern Europe.

For those reasons, in the future plants will be produced with different presentations and formats in proportion to market demand.

Additionally, new species and formats of palms that can tolerate cold climates specially designed for the central and northern European markets will also be produced.

All of those plants are available in different formats, especially medium and large sizes in decorative pots.
